Phase 1 – Consultation – Scoping Papers

Courses in the first stage of course redevelopment (Tranche 1) have been prioritised in consideration the aims of the Years 9 to 12 Project and will be developed in line with the Years 9 to 12 Curriculum Framework and the Senior Secondary Accreditation Framework.

The Scoping Papers represent the first of four course consultation opportunities for teachers to engage in the course development process for courses proposed in Tranche 1. The purpose of these scoping papers is to provide information regarding the scope of these proposed courses.

This information includes the:

  • Rationale
  • Relationship to:
    • Senior Secondary Australian Curriculum (where applicable)
    • Years 9 to 12 Curriculum Framework
    • General Capabilities
  • Existing pathways and possible Future Provision
  • Course Design

The scoping papers are designed to enable all interested stakeholders to reflect and provide initial feedback on the rationale and relationships for these courses. Feedback on the information provided in the Scoping Papers closed on the 25th of September 2020. 

Ongoing development of these courses will be undertaken by Years 9 to 12 Learning, in line with the Curriculum Framework and Accreditation Framework.

Course proposals are currently pending advice from the Office of Tasmanian Assessment, Standards and Certification in line with the Accreditation Framework.
